Ken Wilson is the producer, blog-writer, podcast editor, irregular on-air talent, and official cat wrangler for the Tasty Tuesdays morning show. Ken is also known as; The Media Maestro, The Ultimate Food Cart Wingman, The Tall Silent Type, and The Better-Looking Brother Whom Mom Likes Best. He is also an aficionado of the Oxford comma, the usage of overpowering non-sequitur grammar, and the writer of this bio.
During the hours that Ken is not wrangling cats for Tasty Tuesdays, he can be found working as the media director for an international non-profit organization. On his days off you may find him creating mouth-watering media for private clients and occasionally as the favorite director of Stuff Your Face Productions. On special days, Ken can be found fulfilling his duties as the official chauffeur and Ultimate Food Cart Wingman to Tasty Tuesdays host, Steven Shomler.
Ken’s career in media began in the dark decade of a previous century when sequins, big collars, leisure suits, bell-bottoms, mirrored balls, multi-story high heels for men, and incredibly annoying music were all the rage. Fortunately Ken escaped this deeply embarrassing period of societal history with only minor scars and very, very rare, but mild, flashbacks involving repetitiously extending one’s right arm and pointing at the ceiling.
Ever since his hair-ow-ing experiences during those better-forgotten times struggling to survive the soul-crushing music who-shall-not-be-named, Ken longed to be part of broadcasting meaningful television without pictures. Joining Portland Radio Project has brought peace to his soul and reasonable purpose to his Tuesday mornings.
